2690588 Guy Joseph Bonnet (engraving); (add.info.: Guy-Joseph Bonnet (1773-1843), historian and officer of the weapon of Haiti. Guy-Joseph Bonnet made a military career. On 27 Aug. 1798, (10 fructidor year VI), he became aide-de-camp to General Andre Rigaud, commander of the Southern Department of Santo Domingo, in the Executive Directorate and in the Legislative Corps. During the Haitian Revolution, he was Warrant Officer-General and then Major General commanding the Gonaives district of the army of the Republic of Haiti. He was one of the signatories of the Act of Independence of the Republic of Haiti of 1804. From 1809 he began writing his memoirs in a book entitled "Historical Souvenirs".
